If your clients “understand it”… but still don’t change
This is the missing link for many hypnotherapists.
You already know the feeling:
Your client has insight. They want change. They’re committed… and yet they keep looping back into the same behaviours.
That’s not “lack of motivation.”
It’s not “self-sabotage.”
It’s often state-dependent behaviour and until you can map the state, you’re guessing.
ESI (Executive State Identification) gives you a clear way to identify, map, and work with behavioural states so your sessions become more targeted, more efficient, and more consistent.

What is ESI Mapping (Executive State Identification)?ESI is a practical tool and training for coaches and therapists that supports fast change and helps overcome client resistance.
It teaches you how to:
ESI is taught as an applied method not just theory — so you leave Stage 1 with a tool you can start using immediately in sessions. |
Who this Stage 1 training is for
This is designed for:

- Coaches who work with behaviour change
- Therapists who want a clearer structure for “stuck” clients
- Practitioners who want to bring neuroscience + practical mapping into their work
- Anxiety patterns, overwhelm, avoidance, procrastination
- Stress-driven habits and nervous system loops
- Confidence and performance challenges
- Repeating emotional patterns and “I don’t know why I do this”
What you’ll be able to do after Stage 1
By the end of ESI Stage 1, you’ll be able to:
- Map behavioural states so you can see what’s running the client’s responses
- Explain “resistance” in a way that’s non-shaming and brain-based

Phase 1
Phase 2
Phase 3
Phase 1

- How We Learn and Brain Change: Understand how change happens in the brain and why clients get stuck.
- Creating Maps of States: Learn a practical tool for overcoming resistance.
Phase 2
- Brain and Neural Development: Be able to explain the developing brain and use this knowledge for change.
- Stress Loops and the Brain: Learn the brain–body stress connection and how to get out of stress loops.
Phase 3
- The Brain with Anxiety Disorders and Depression: Expand your scope of practice by being able to work safely with more clients.
- Neuropsychotherapy Model for Coaching: A simple, effective model for change work highlights where change is needed.
- ESI in Schools, Workplace, Couples: Learn how to adapt ESI across settings and client types.
- Neuroplasticity and State Connection: More brain change techniques to speed up, amplify, and solidify change.
Why hypnotherapists love ESIHypnotherapy is powerful and it becomes even more effective when you can pinpoint the exact state that keeps a pattern alive.
